Venezuelans who try to enter Venezuelan territory by air will not be able to do so with an expired passport, according to a measure notified to airlines since September 27. Passengers must apply for a travel permit at the nearest embassy or consulate.
A new measure establishes that Venezuelans with expired passports will not be able to enter Venezuelan territory by air. To do so, they must request a travel pass at least 72 hours before boarding.
The measure was notified to the airlines by the Venezuelan authorities, to be carried out immediately, which according to the sector’s unions caught passengers and service providers off guard.
