Check if your child is a beneficiary
The consultation to verify if your son or daughter is eligible to receive a computer through the TIC Scholarships is very simple. You only need to enter the website enabled by the Ministry of Education, enter the student’s RUT and press the “Check” button.
The ICT Scholarships not only provide a computerbut also offer other resources that complement students’ education. The package includes one year of Internet access, specialized educational programs, and the Office software package license. This benefit allows students to access digital tools free which are essential for their academic development, especially in a context where access to technology is key to education.
To be a beneficiary of the ICT Scholarships and receive a computerthree key requirements must be met: first, the student must be enrolled in seventh grade in a public or subsidized educational institution no later than April 2024. In the case of education for young people and adults, those who are studying the third basic level and meet the performance requirements may also be eligible.
In the case of students of subsidized education, in addition to being enrolled in seventh grade, they must belong to the most vulnerable 40% of the population, to receive the computeraccording to the Social Registry of Households. This condition guarantees that the benefit reaches those who really need it.
