The Department of Social Prosperity has a program called Citizen Income, which provides the most vulnerable sectors of the country with economic assistance in different lines of action. One of them is Youth Income —formerly known as Youth in Action—a proposal that aims to provide representative support to each beneficiary who wishes to continue their studies at a higher education institution.

How to know if you were chosen to join the Renta Joven program
In order to be able to carry out an admission process and for the authorities to take it into account, you must meet the following conditions:

1. Be between 14 and 28 years old.
2. It is important that you have a registration in official education enrollment systems average as a graduate of vocational secondary school (grade 11).
3. You need to know that it must be included within the Sisben IV in population groups in situations of extreme poverty and vulnerability. Or be on the lists of indigenous population censuses, which are administered by the Colombian Institute of Family Welfare or the Ministry of the Interior.

4. You must be registered to develop a training process whether in a higher education institution at the university level in undergraduate, technological or technical courses, whether in virtual, in-person or distance learning mode.
5. Finally, not being registered in official higher education systems with a professional degree.

The process will be carried out through annual calls for applications where quotas will be awarded taking into account budget issues. This period began on July 20 and will end on October 15, 2024.
Do not forget that if you accept this proposal, you will receive the amount from the authorities through a bank deposit or through a money order that can be collected at established entities.
