On January 26, 2022, the Minister of Health, Ximena Garzón, announced that a new vaccination certificate would be made available to the public, with a QR code and greater security.
This certificate can be downloaded from the website of that State portfolio from January 31, 2022. Garzón urged that this new document be gradually requested in all public places.
In addition, he pointed out that citizens will benefit from a smaller and easier version to load on the cell phone, or print. The QR code would make it more difficult any attempted forgery.
“The moment you access from any cell phone, it can read that code. All the information that is stored in the Ministry of Public Health is displayed, Garzón said.
Five steps to download the new vaccination certificate
1.- To apply for the new certificate, you must enter the following link: https://sgrdacaaadmision.msp.gob.ec/hcue/paciente/certificadovacuna/public/index.
2.- Select the type of identification: identity card / passport, visa or refugee card (in the case of being a mobile population).
3.- Enter the number of the document and the date of birth with year, month and day
4.- An option will be enabled to register the email in which you want to receive the certificate. Then click on request.
5.- Check the vaccination data on the screen: immunization date, name of the vaccine and number of doses. Press: Accept. In this way, the request to send the certificate is confirmed.
The vaccination certificate will arrive in your mail and you can download it on your cell phone or print it.
