With surprise, more than one rose in Colombia upon receiving the letter from the DIAN, but not precisely to remind them of charges, but for a special notification.
Colombian News.
«See your name in the home tray DIAN It scares a little bit”, commented some upon receiving the surprising massive message that the entity sent to its taxpayers.
4 million 400 thousand Colombian income taxpayers woke up with an email from the DIAN, but not collections, for this reason they point out that this “is the first time it has happened.”
For this occasion, the DIAN sent an email to its users, with messages of thanks.
It should be noted that in Colombia 2.5 million people pay income tax, which also influences investments at the national level.
The messages of gratitude from the entity have to do with the contributions made by those who pay taxes in the country, but the entity is clear in saying why they are grateful.
The @DIANColombia He sent me a very nice thank you email in which he tells me how what I paid in income tax is distributed, just like me, most of it goes to pay debts. It’s sad that for the environment the infimum is gone and that’s what I work for. pic.twitter.com/tDFHIwI9sd

value of effort
One of the reasons they stand out is that “we appreciate the effort it takes for you to do it.”
But without a doubt the most argued and the one that people “applaud” is the second reason why they are grateful, since these contributions “allow obtaining resources for projects for the most vulnerable population.”
For the first time I received an email in which the @DIANColombia He tells me how the taxes I paid in the declaration are going to be used. I think it’s a great success! ?

This of course accompanied the investments that have been made, for example, in Education, the Treasury, the Judiciary, Agriculture and among other sectors with an impact on Colombian society.
In this way, the entity has decided to communicate to the cooperators the way in which their resources have been invested.
“It is an exercise in transparency”
One of the questions that many have asked is: What motivates this new action?
The thank you letter bears the signature of Luis Carlos Reyes, who explains in turn that “people stated that they did not know how the resources were invested.”
In a conversation that the director of DIAN had on Blu Radio, he argued that they made this “thank you” because “it is an exercise in transparency.”
He also stressed that the items or percentages “are the same”, that is, the strata do not influence the generation of the payments that the DIAN allocates to the population sectors.
Another of the conclusions that this “mini rendering of accounts” leaves is that what Colombians pay the most is in debts that the country has.
