With a total price of 1,000 pesos and itbis included, citizens went in search of the combos that are offered from supermarkets and that they contain; a carton of 30 eggs, an 800-gram bean bag, four cans of sardines in vegetable oil, two 400-gram packages of spaghetti, one frozen chicken, one 100-gram salami, one 16-ounce oil, one tomato paste of 454 grams and a rice of 10 pounds. The combos they will be sold on Thursdays for three months, and each customer will be able to purchase one.

With the name of “Buy at the Inespre Price in the Supermarket”the Government of the Republic seeks to counteract the high prices of food, after launching an agreement between the Price Stabilization Institute (Inespre), the General Directorate of Strategic and Special Projects of the Presidency (Propeep) and the establishments commercials for the sale of a combo with foods of massive use among Dominicans.
The agreement for this Government initiative to be carried out was signed between the directors of Propeep, José Leonel Cabrera (Neney); the director of Inespre, Iván Hernández Guzmán and Mario Lama, president of Grupo Lama and other businesses.
What are the supermarkets that distribute this combo?
The supermarket chains that joined this initiative include: Sirena, Plaza Lama, Centro Cuesta Nacional (with Jumbo and Nacional), Iberia and La Fuente.
According to the data collected by this means, all supermarkets will handle the same prices for all products, however, the brand and presentation of a certain product may vary and, therefore, the savings as well.
