How many people earn the minimum wage in Colombia?

The minimum increases and... is it an obligation that the rest of the salaries go up?

After the installation of the salary agreement table in which the negotiation of the minimum wage by 2023the National Government presented the labor market figures in Colombia to determine how many people earn this salary in the country.

According to the data presented, 15.7% of the total employed personnel in Colombia earn a salary equivalent to a minimum wage.

This percentage represents 3.4 million people of a total of 22 million workers in the country.

The figures also show that 43.1% of workers earn less than a minimum wage in Colombia.

The data presented at the salary agreement table by the Ministry of Labor are an input for the discussions, after the annual variation of the inflation (12.53%) and that last week the productivity (1.24%).
