The Dominican Republic will receive in February more than 100 boats international flights in different ports and anchorages, consolidating itself as one of the most solid and competitive destinations in the Caribbean.
According to the calendar of the Dominican Port Authority, Puerto Plata leads the reception of cruisesconcentrating the largest number of arrivals during the month, followed by La Romana, Samaná and Cabo Rojo, reaffirming the strategic role of the northern area as the main gateway to the tourism maritime to the country.

During February, ships from the world’s main lines will arrive, such as MSC Cruises, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian Cruise Line, Carnival, Celebrity Cruises, Costa and Virgin Voyages.
The executive director of the Dominican Port Authority, Jean Luis Rodríguezhighlighted the economic impact and social that leave the boats that choose the Dominican Republic as a destination cruises.
“The Dominican Republic has shown that it has modern portssecurity, connectivity and a diverse tourist offer. He sustained growth on the arrival of cruises “It confirms the confidence of the large shipping companies and the positioning of the country as a regional benchmark,” said Rodríguez.
Up to six cruises
The most dynamic days will be recorded between February 3 and 24, when the simultaneous arrival from up to five and six cruises on the same date, as communicated by the institution through a press release.
In these days, Puerto Plata will concentrate the largest number of vessels, with parallel arrivals to Amber Cove and Taíno Bay, while others cruises will dock simultaneously in La Romana, Samaná and Cabo Rojo, causing a high flow of visitors in different parts of the country and a significant impact on local tourist activity.
February is part of the peak of the season cruises in the Caribbean, which traditionally extends from November to Aprilcoinciding with the winter in north america and Europe.
The programming of February 2026 confirms that the Dominican Republic remains one of the preferred destinations by shipping companies and cruise passengersin its goal of becoming cruise hub of the region.
