How many births were registered in 2024?

¿Cuántos nacimientos se registraron en el 2024?

This Friday the Central Electoral Board (JCE) revealed a statistical report on civil status acts corresponding to the year 2024, where it is reported that 142,171 births were declared, of those 72,583 were male for 51.1%, while 69,588 corresponded to birth records for girls for 48.9%.

The report specifies that the district where the highest number of births were certified was the National District with 21,990, representing more than 15%.

Followed by Santiago de los Caballeros with 14, 209equivalent to 9.99% of registration acts.

Meanwhile, in the Llano and La Cueva of the border area, only 6 declarations were reported, equal to less than 1%.

The Central Board details in the report that in the month of September 14,884 children were declared.

Deaths

Meanwhile, the death record of 43,913 persons, of these 4, 214 in the month of January, with the highest reported deaths, while in December only 2,770 deaths were made official.

The National District recorded the highest number of deaths with 3,809, equivalent to more than 10%.
