With votes from both the left and right benches, the parliamentary representation decided to appoint Francisco Humberto Morales Saravia, Luis Gustavo Gutiérrez Ticse, Helder Domínguez Haro, Luz Imelda Pacheco Zerga, Manuel Monteagudo Valdez and César Augusto Ochoa Cardich as tribunes.
Unlike other benches, Peru Libre did not vote as a block. Although a majority decided in favor of the new magistrates, there was a group that decided to vote against or abstain.
In the election of the candidate Francisco Humberto Morales Saravia, there were seven votes against and six abstentions by the ruling party. Jorge Coayla, Alex Flores, Margot Palacios, Kelly Portalatino, Silvana Robles, Elizabeth Taipe and Elías Varas refused to give Morales Saravia the opportunity. For their part, Víctor Cutipa, Paul Gutiérrez, Segundo Quiroz, Germán Tacuri, Katy Ugarte and Lucinda Vásquez voted abstention. The rest were in favor.
In the turn of Luis Gustavo Gutierrez Ticse, Víctor Cutipa, Jorge Marticorena, Alex Flores, Margot Palacios, Kelly Portalatino, Silvana Robles and Elizabeth Taipe voted against. In abstention, Paul Gutiérrez, Segundo Quiroz, Germán Tacuri and Katy Ugarte.
As to Helder Dominguez Haro, 16 members of Peru Libre voted in favor, 6 against and there were 6 abstentions. In addition, Luz Imelda Pacheco Zerga it received the support of 13 parliamentarians, the refusal of 8 and 7 abstentions.
Manuel Monteagudo Valdez he was backed by 15 members of the ruling caucus, while 5 voted against him and 7 abstained. Ultimately, 14 voted in favor of Cesar Augusto Ochoa Cardich4 against and 9 abstained.

According to the former Minister of Women, the resignation of the teachers’ bloc to the ruling party has nothing to do with the election of the magistrates of the Constitutional Court. Ugarte announced that the resigning members of Peru Libre intend to form another group.
