Housing group made barricades and traffic cuts on the highway at the height of Quilicura

Around 8:30 am this morning and in the middle of peak hours, dozens of people made traffic cuts and barricades on the Américo Vespucio Norte highway, at the height of Quilicura. The reason for the demonstration is to find a solution regarding the housing demand of these people who reside in the Mauricio Fredes intake.

The protest lasted for about half an hour, generating great traffic congestion in the place, in a block that extended for kilometers.

The demonstrators were sued by a plastic company that demands the removal of these people from the land they hold. Given this, the residents demand a meeting with the Ministry of Housing with the aim of finding a housing solution for the nearly 90 families that reside in the place.

Carabineros arrived at the scene to restore public order, achieving it through dialogue with the protesters.
