Housing collapse leaves three dead

This Saturday a family was walled up during the collapse of a house in the La Guairita sector, in Miranda state, leaving three people dead and one wounded.

The information was released by the State Fire Department, who reported that the house was built on a slope. “It gave way from its base, because it was already located on a slope, which caused mass and landslides, since the ground is supersaturated.”

In the report, they specified that the security and protection forces of the State mobilized to the place of the events to carry out the work of extracting three
corpses, including two adults (female and male) and a girl. In addition, an injured person was located, who was treated and transferred by Civil Protection officials
from the Plaza municipality to the Guarenas Social Security hospital, Dr. Luis Salazar Domínguez. They noted that there was a total loss of belongings.

During the operation, officials from the Miranda State Fire Department, Miranda Civil Protection, Plaza Municipality Civil Protection and Plaza Municipality Police participated.

The journalist Michel Caballero posted on his Twitter account an image of the moment of rescuein which a police officer from the Plaza municipality can be seen rescuing a child.

Likewise, the journalist highlighted the coordinated action of the National Risk Management System.
