House collapses in Rio leaving one injured and one person missing

A three-story house collapsed in the early hours of Monday (16), in the northern part of the city of Rio de Janeiro. According to the Fire Department, a 77-year-old man was rescued alive and taken to Salgado Filho Hospital.House collapses in Rio leaving one injured and one person missing

Firefighters continue to work at the site in search of another victim, who is believed to be under the rubble of the property, located at number 377 Rua Ferraz, in Cascadura.

According to the Fire Department, 30 soldiers from six units are working on the rescue, including specialists in search and rescue in collapsed structures, with the support of sniffer dogs.

So far, no information has been released about the reason for the collapse.
