Álvaro Uribe already is formally detained in compliance with the judgment issued by Judge 44 Criminal of Bogotá on August 1. This was confirmed by the former president through a video on his social networks, in which he claims to be formalized as a prisoner.

“This afternoon I appeared to the Court of Rionegro (Antioquia). They had summoned me for next Monday to formalize my house imprisonment that I am fulfilling since last Friday (August 1)” pointed out.
Uribe also indicated in its publication that with the “Identification of Prisoner” will continue and increase the fight for Colombia in 2026 “Defeat the nascent neo-communist gag, because if it is consolidated, it will end the nation and the halago to the workers will become a total social failure.”
The ex -president was sentenced in the first instance to 12 years of house arrest for the crimes of procedural fraud and bribery in criminal action. After making the sentence known, several opposition sectors have summoned a mobilization this Thursday, August 7 against it.
