The House of Representatives approved on Tuesday (30) the urgent regime for eight proposals on public safety. With the approval of the urgency, projects can be voted directly in the plenary, without having to go through the commissions of the house.
Earlier, the mayor, Hugo Motta (Republicans-PB), manifested itself on a social network stating that it would give priority to the subject of public safety.
“Today I will bring to the Plenary eight emergency requirements that deal exclusively on public safety – all are consensus among the 27 security secretaries in the country. Security is one of the biggest concerns of Brazilians and a priority of parliament – and priority listens, dialoguing and acting,” he wrote.
The expectation is that the proposals are voted in the next sessions of the Plenary. The urgency was approved for the following bills (PLS):
- PL 4176/25, by Deputy Colonel Ulysses (Union-AC), which raises penalties in cases of homicide and bodily injury against state agents;
- PL 4331/25, by Deputy Yury do Paredão (MDB-CE), which increases the allocation of the collection with Fixed Quota Betting Games (BETS) to finance public safety;
- PL 4503/25, of Deputy Delegate Ione (Avante-MG), who creates the crime of obstruction of justice in the Penal Code;
- PL 4332/25, by Deputy Yury do Paredão, who passes on to states the assets and resources confiscated from drug trafficking from the action of their police bodies;
- PL 4500/25, by Deputy Alberto Fraga (PL-DF), which increases the repression of crimes committed by criminal organizations;
- PL 4333/25 of Deputy Yury do Paredão, which extends within 60 days the precautionary arrest of flagrant in crimes with a penalty of over four years;
- PL 4498/25, by Deputy Delegate Fabio Costa (PP-AL), which establishes collaborative action mechanisms between the inspection and control bodies and the organs of criminal prosecution;
- PL 4499/25, by Deputy Colonel Assis (União-MT), which typifies the crime of dominance of cities, when there is order to blockade or public security buildings using weapons.
