The report released yesterday corresponds to epidemiological week number 26, which runs from June 26 to July 2.
In the span of seven days, 44,401 samples were processed, of which 12,985 were positive. Also in that week, 17 people lost their lives from this disease.
As for those hospitalized, 368 people are hospitalized, of which nine are in intensive care.
Health authorities insist on the need to be vaccinated, in order to reduce the chances of suffering from severe forms of the disease.
