Hospital Panamá Solidario will be dismantled, announces the MINSA.

The Ministry of Health of Panama (MINSA) reported this Tuesday that the Hospital Panamá Solidario will be dismantled, with the aim of being transferred to reinforce care in the Ngäbe Buglé region and the San Miguel Arcángel Hospital in San Miguelito.

According to MINSA, the hospital is currently carrying out its normal disinfection process and there are no hospitalized patients.

It is worth mentioning that this unit had 100 beds, distributed in: 20 cubicles (1 bed per cubicle) in the Intensive Care area; the hospitalization rooms divided into room 1 and room 2 (40 beds per room) giving a total of 80 hospitalization beds and 20 in Intensive Care.

“The Panamá Solidario Integrated Hospital treated 2,181 positive patients for COVID19 from June 11, 2020 to September 29, 2022, where 1,694 were recovered patients; 372 deceased and 102 patients were transferred to other hospital centers»; indicated the institution.
