Hospital Manuel Amador Guerrero de Colón has 43% progress

A 43% advance presents the new Manuel A. Guerrero hospital, located in the Coco Solo area in the province of Colón, as confirmed by the Minister of Health, Luis Francisco Sucre and his work team, as well as provincial authorities after take an inspection tour of these new sanitary facilities.

For his part, Edgar Coto, regional director of Minsa in coordination with the regional authorities of the Atlantic Coast Social Security Fund, attended the tour and reported that this hospital will come to benefit a population that exceeds 260,000 people from the six districts of the province of Colón and the frequency of visits to construction work is maintained.

The doctor explained that the walls have already been patched, the fungus that was present has been eliminated, the structures have been repainted, the “H” beams have been replaced, which give the infrastructure resistance.

“We have to remember that IBT left this hospital at 44%, as a result of abandonment and vandalism, when the new company that is building the hospital today found a reduction of 18% and today it is already at 37%, work is done quickly Coto said.

The new Manuel Amador Guerrero Hospital will have pharmacy and admission services, blood bank and laboratory, emergency room, pathology, morgue, treatment plant, etc. on the ground floor; At level one, outpatient services, intensive care-adults, coronary unit, neonatal intensive care, hospitalization, surgery, surgery and toco-surgery (9 operating rooms and 4 expulsion rooms) will be provided.

The study, design, construction, equipment and financing contract for the Manuel Amador Guerrero Hospital is in charge of the Consortium of Medical Facilities of Panama, for an amount of B7,270,705,307.75 including financing.
