The Luis Chicho Fábrega Hospital received $4 million that will be allocated by the Health authorities for the purchase of surgical medical equipment, medical supplies and medications.
The medical director of the hospital, Saúl Jované, said that despite being in critical numbers in terms of the supply of certain supplies, they never stopped providing the service in this hospital center but that this money will help to shovel expenses in areas that really need it. They need such as the purchase of medicines, supplies and the payment of certain services “that are essential for the operation of the Luis Chicho Fábrega hospital, we have not suspended care, we were in critical numbers,” he said.
He stressed that to execute this budget it will be necessary for the purchasing department to work hard, for this reason they have reinforced this department to increase its resolution capacity by increasing the personnel that works in that area, in addition to the extension of hours.
Jované said that they are in the process of prioritizing the services to be paid, such as those that have to do with the maintenance of equipment and everything that is necessary so that adequate care can be provided to patients and in this way efficiently execute this budget that is already available.
