The Colombian Polytechnic Jaime Isaza Cadavid issued a statement, through which it declared a red alert and ordered the immediate evacuation of the headquarters campus in Medellín for the entire educational community, in accordance with the protocols defined by the emergency committee.
During the protests and through videos broadcast on social networks, it can be seen how some Hooded men seized a car from the Medellín Mobility Secretariat and set fire to the car in the middle of the main road, Avenida Las Vegas.causing vehicular chaos in the sector.
The mayor of Medellín, Federico Gutiérrez, spoke out through his X account and classified these actions as terrorism. In addition, he ordered the intervention of the National Police.
