A tragic situation took place in Higüey, La Altagracia province, last weekend, where a woman is accused of killing another woman with multiple stab wounds, apparently motivated by personal differences.
Rafaela Juste Paulinoaged 31, died after suffering stab wounds to the left ear, chest, arm and left forearm, as well as attacks on both legs, resulting in haemorrhagic shock.
Authorities have identified a woman identified only as Yamaniof Haitian nationality, as the main suspect and they are searching for her.
The victim’s husband, César Tapia Feliz, confirmed that two weeks before the fatal incident, both women had had a fight.
Early Saturday morning, on Juan XXIII Street in the Nazareth sector, members of the Criminal Investigations Subdirectorate and the Division of Investigation of Crimes and Offenses against the Person (Homicides) arrived at the scene.
There they found a knife approximately six inches long, which is believed to have been the weapon used in the attack.
The body of Juste Paulino, who was taken lifeless to the Nuestra Señora de La Altagracia Specialty Hospital in Higüey, was transferred to the National Institute of Forensic Pathology (INACIF) for the corresponding procedures. The authorities continue investigating to clarify the details of the case and capture the person responsible for this tragic event.
