Homicide rate increases during José Jerí's government

The homicides In Peru, not only do they not stop, but they continue to increase during the administration of the President José Jeríaccording to official government data.

Neither the repeated states of emergency nor the appearances of the president or his ministers in operations have managed to reduce the wave of extortion and hitmen in the national territory.

This is what analyst Juan Carbajal stated in his latest report (published on his X account, formerly Twitter), based on the National Death Information System (Sinadef).

“Increase to 5.56 the daily homicide average registered during the Government of José Jerí (and still with cases to be added)”, announced the aforementioned San Marcos specialist.

To measure that figure, the expert compared the rates of the last Peruvian governments and found that the current one has the highest number of murders since 2017.

PPK management had a daily average of 1.88 homicidesthat of Martín Vizcarra 2.87, Manuel Merino 2.67, Francisco Sagasti 3.62, Pedro Castillo 4.22, Dina Boluarte 2.25 and José Jerí 5.56.
