The teachers delivered a set of proposals to the Bolivarian Government, as part of the Great March of Educators of the Homeland, which took place this Saturday in Caracas.
The proposal was received by the executive vice president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, who expressed “I come to bring, not only the greetings of President Nicolás Maduro, but also his deep appreciation for what the heroes and heroines of education are. who have resisted with great dignity, with wisdom, the economic war promoted by the United States government”.
The vice president pointed out: “I know that thanks to the teachers, to the education workers, Venezuela rises up in its dignity to face victoriously, without ever renouncing our rights, when facing a criminal blockade.”
The document refers to the educators of the Homeland: “today we decided to call a great national march to guarantee the education of our girls and boys, request the direct attention of the sector, and commit ourselves as protagonists of the rebirth of the future of the Homeland.”
In the same way, the letter reports that the country’s teachers “are aware of the difficulties that the union is going through, for this reason today we raise our voices for the comprehensive demands that education workers deserve, we accompany the proposals and demands as long as they are maintained within the framework of the Constitution”.

The educators recalled: “that the Venezuelan people have just gone through difficult times from a cruel period of protest and social destabilization to the economic blockade against the country that has affected the economy and consequently the social protection system.”
That is why they agreed:
- ensure the continuity of education in all educational institutions
- call for the creation of a national movement for quality education
- convene debate sessions
- demand compliance with the second partial agreement for the protection of the Venezuelan people
- incorporate participatory methods in the management of the release of funds aimed at the education sector.
For her part, the Executive Vice President said that the document will be delivered to the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro.
