The amended Good Friday and Easter holidays are expected to have rain and a drop in temperatures in the state of São Paulo. A frontal system that is today (14) on the coast of São Paulo can bring the temperature down to 13 degrees Celsius (ºC) in the capital of São Paulo and cause rain with potential for flooding.
According to the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet), the northern coast of the state should be the most affected place. A warning of the danger of heavy rains and winds was issued for the region. Some landslides already affect the highway Rio-Santos, between Mangaratiba (RJ) and Ubatuba (SP), and cause partial interruptions in vehicle traffic.
In the capital of São Paulo, according to the Emergency Management Center (CGE) of the city of São Paulo, tomorrow (15), the Passion of Christ holiday, should start with a lot of cloudiness and drizzle. Temperatures don’t rise much and the feeling should be cold, with minimums hovering around 14°C and maximums that shouldn’t exceed 20°C.
On Saturday, the sun appears between many clouds, but the feeling of cold should still persist. Thermometers range from lows of 13°C to highs that can reach 22°C. There is no forecast of significant rains, except for isolated drizzles in the regions closest to Serra do Mar.
