A young woman and her friends had a bitter experience after renting a property in Acacías, Meta, through a property rental platform. The girl, whose complaint has gained notoriety on TikTok, recounted how they were victims of a robbery during their stay, which has generated great concern among the app’s users.
In the video, the young woman says: “We were robbed and it was because of Airbnb. I am making this video so that this does not go unpunished and so that it does not happen to you.”
According to their testimony, the group rented the property on August 30, which had excellent reviews for both the house and the host.
After arriving at noon, the friends settled in, some working until 6 p.m., and then enjoying board games, pool, and celebrations, until they went to sleep at 2:30 a.m.
The scare came at 6:30 in the morning when the farm’s caretaker woke them up to inform them that they had allegedly been victims of a robbery.
According to the man, He found several belongings lying around and the property gate open.Upon inspection, the young men confirmed that personal items were missing.

The group of 12 people staying at the property booked by the app in Acacías, revealed that the multimillion-dollar robbery amounts to more than 60 million pesos worth of belongings.
According to witnesses, the incident has raised concerns about the security of the place and the possible complicity of the security personnel.
«The thieves entered around 4 in the morning, but they were already watching us from 1:57 am.“, says one of those affected.
In the videos from the security cameras, which only partially functioned as they were told, the criminals can be seen entering armed with knives.
For 48 minutes, they searched the rooms and stole cell phones, computers, smart watches, speakers and cash.
«The most worrying thing is that, despite there being 12 people in the cabins, no one woke up, not even the dog that was with us barked.“, the witness added.
The victims also expressed fear for what could have happened if the criminals had decided to attack the guests.
Another aspect that raises suspicions is the attitude of the caretakers of the place, who, according to the complainants, seemed to have detailed knowledge about the routines of the group: They knew which cabins they were staying in, what time they went to sleep, and what items they had.
Even the Prosecutor’s Office, which is investigating the case, said there were reports of a similar robbery at the same property a month earlier, which was not reported to the tenants.
The victims also complain that after reporting the theft to the police, the police did not provide a detailed inventory of the losses nor did they make significant efforts to trace the stolen devices. “They told us to simply file a complaint and wait.“They said with frustration.
Those affected called on the community to share this information and take precautions when booking properties through digital platforms, especially in areas where similar robberies have been reported.
@paumcastellanos We were victims of theft and we don’t want that to happen to you. That’s why help us spread the word so that @airbnb responds to us and the @Fiscalía General de la Nación is aware of this case. #longervideos #airbnb #publiccomplaint #citizencomplaint #complaint ♬ original sound – Paula Muñoz Castellanos
