BRIDGES TO REST

Taking into account that the declaration of non-working days is made to generate bridges; that is, joining the holidays with some dates that precede or are after them, those who rest on weekends will be able to enjoy these benefits. Thus we will have the following bridges:

  • For National Holidays: on Thursday the 28th and Friday the 29th, which are joined on the weekend of Saturday the 30th and Sunday the 31st of July.
  • For Saint Rose of Lima: on Monday, August 29 and Tuesday, August 30, to these will be added for some the two days that precede it: Saturday, August 27 and Sunday, August 28.
  • For the Battle of Angamos: on Friday 7 and Saturday 08 October, to this would be added Sunday 9 October for those who rest this day.
  • For All Saints’ Day: on Monday, October 31 and Tuesday, November 1, which will be preceded by Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 for those who rest on weekends.
  • For the Day of the Immaculate Conception and Battle of Ayacucho: on Thursday, December 8 and Friday, December 9, which meet on Saturday and Sunday, December 10 and 11.
  • At Christmas: on Sunday December 25 and Monday December 26, which will join for those who rest weekends on Saturday December 24.
  • For New Year: Since New Year 2022 will fall on Sunday, January 1, Friday, December 30, has been declared a non-working holiday, which will join Saturday, December 31.

HOW IS THE HOLIDAY DIFFERENT FROM THE NON-BUSINESS DAY?

Holiday

The holiday is a holiday in which workers, both in the public and private sectors, can stop working. The same happens with the students, who stop going to their classes.

In the event that an employee works on a holiday, they will receive additional remuneration, which is normally triple, even if it is Sunday.

Holiday

The non-working day is decreed by the Government of the day and is aimed at the public sector. In private, the employer will decide if their workers work or not. If in case an employee works normally, this does not mean that they will receive an extra payment, since he will only receive the same salary without increases.

For those who rest, they must compensate those hours with overtime, work on Saturdays or consider them as part of the vacations.
