The Easter holiday, which this year will be amended with the Tiradentes holiday, is expected to attract 2.4 million tourists to the municipalities of São Paulo, estimates the Intelligence Center for the Tourism Economy, which is linked to the State Secretariat of Tourism and Travels of São Paulo. According to the folder, the number represents 300 thousand visitors more than last year.
One of the state’s main destinations on this extended holiday should be the city of Aparecida, which attracts many faithful to the national sanctuary. Many tourists are also expected for the cities of Praia Grande and Batatais, which has a tradition in staging the Passion of Christ, and to coastal cities.
The expectation of the São Paulo government is that tourists move about R $ 3.9 million in resources, providing a hotel occupancy rate of around 76.3%.
“The prolonged holiday is an extra motivation for travel. Visitors are motivated to know new destinations and take advantage of local attractions, moving the entire tourism chain, including lodging, restaurants and local commerce,” said Secretary Roberto de Lucena, by note.
