March will be a month with high inflation and it will be even higher than that registered in February, as confirmed by the Minister of Productive Development Matías Kulfas. For April, the figures will be less worrying, according to the official.
Matías Kulfas assured that the Government is working to contain the impact of price variation, although it is a difficult problem to tackle. For many years, the inflation has been the main challenge for the Argentine economy.
According to the head of Productive Development, It is a inflation atypical and what generates the greatest concern is the price of foodso that in April a trust will come into force that will serve to stabilize the value of wheat.
To make this initiative possible, which cushions the values, a special fund was created that would guarantee flour mills so that they can buy wheat at the same price as the previous month. “We are going to make up the difference,” Kulfas explained.
It is a tool that will begin to work in the next few days and will have an impact on a very important food chain in the family basket.
Meetings with businessmen
Regarding the meetings with the business sector and the unions, Matías Kulfas said that they are working on a joint, agreed strategy, where each one will contribute something for the benefit of the group.
What we seek is to implement some measures in a dialogued, consensual manner, as President Alberto Fernández has planned.
The war in Ukraine put additional stress on prices globallysomething that has been reflected in the levels of inflation registered in other countries such as Spain and Germany that had a variation of up to 3%.
Through the table with businessmen, reactivation and good economic dynamics are sought to continue the growth of 10.3% registered during 2021.
