In an effort to preserve its rich architectural history, in the La Pastora parish of Caracas, more than 160 facades have been restored, with the purpose of perverting the color and beauty of the locality.
The president of the Permanent Commission for Infrastructure, Urban Planning and Venezuelan Living of the Caracas Municipal Council (CMC), Jesús García, highlighted the importance of these actions, which go beyond mere aesthetics. “These renovations not only beautify our neighborhoods, but also generate employment and strengthen the sense of community.”
In addition to the restoration of the facades, work has been carried out to repair the walkways in order to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants.
In this regard, García stated that the organized Popular Power of the Eight Roots communes of Mecedores; Roads of Independence; United Powder Magazine in Victorious Battle; Quality of Life; Heroic Resistance of Lídice and the Nine Roots Commune of Simón, recovered their facades through the Territorial Action Plan (PAT), in its fourth cycle.
