A threat like Ana received when she left her husband in Havana, taking her mother and her little son, does not erase: “Wherever I find you I will kill you.”
This Monday, other words froze his blood: “Do not try to stay in the US, the government will find it.” He signed the Department of National Security (DHS): he had to leave the country as soon as possible – she and hundreds of migrants who entered with CBP One– or expose themselves to a police persecution. Too used to the ultimatums, Ana knows that before the arrogance of others, come from a person or a whole government, there is little to do.
