In his weekly video column, journalist César Hildebrandt launched a harsh criticism against the president José Jerí and the current Congress, whom he described as part of a “mafia alliance” that seeks to perpetuate itself in power. Hildebrandt questioned the legitimacy and the profile of the president, remembering the case that links him to a rape complaint and that ended up being expressly filed.

“The new president is José Jerí, the man of the drunkenness that ended in a rape, who with a bividí of his, hanging from the chair, was close to the victim. That was the perfect man for the Congress of the underworld to continue governing. José Jerí as the man who goes to the Palace and Rospigliosi as president of the Congress are the dynamic duo of the mafia,” he said.

Furthermore, Hildebrandt portrayed Jerí as a politician without direction or ethics. The journalist compared her management with that of her predecessor, Dina Boluarte, and questioned both her personal behavior and her assets. According to Hildebrandt, Jerí embodies a “careerist” willing to do anything for power, with a history of misogyny, which could also be evidenced in the tweets that went viral on social networks; alleged influence peddling and a suspicious increase in assets that “has no justification.”
“The lady who was going to the Palace was living in delirium and now the man who is following in her footsteps (…) today she met with the governors without an agenda or purpose. Mr. Jerí is a misogynist who believes that women are convinced with a credit card and that, however, he seems to have asked businesswoman Blanca Ríos for money to push a project that was going through the Economy Commission when he chaired it. His assets increase from 100 thousand to 1 million soles has no justification (…) all this suspicious enrichment combines with the personality of an upstart who consumes pornography and is willing to accept any temptation, including influence peddling,” he said.
“The lady who was going to the Palace is now at home, her crazy farewell will be unforgettable, speaking at midnight about the country that only existed in her head. It was Hermelinda Linda’s speech, the farewell of the witch of ’71, the only thing missing was the encoba. Those who used her as a servant are still in the underworld Congress and are already doing the same with the successor, a man who studied for the poor devil and got the highest grades,” he added.
