The mayor of Ecatepec assured that in the State of Mexico, where the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) still governs, it is time to “eradicate an exhausted and useless political system, which no longer responds to the great needs that Mexicans face.”
For his part, Higinio Martínez, former mayor of Texcoco, said he is working on a project to, in 2023, remove the PRI from the state government of the neighboring entity of Mexico City.
“I respect and love President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, I believe in his transformation project and I have accompanied him for 27 years. Today I reiterate this conviction before millions of Mexiquenses who trust, who ask for change and who want a new dawn for the State of Mexico”, highlighted the senator.
Martínez said, “to silence the intrigues that seek to divide”, that Delfina Gómez and Horacio Duarte, who have sounded like possible candidates for Morena’s candidacy in the State of Mexico, “have my friendship and for years we have been part of the same movement ”.
“We will fight against the regime, never among ourselves. We will work together so that the transformation of the State of Mexico becomes a reality”, he said.
Around 10,000 Mexiquenses who believe in transformation and who want a change in the #Edomex!

The Institutional Revolutionary has been the dominant party in the State of Mexico since 1945. Among its governors have been characters such as former president Enrique Peña Nieto, Eruviel Ávila, Arturo Montiel, among others.
