“While we were discussing this in the Council of the Judiciary, Bruglia and Bertuzzi dismissed Macri in the espionage case against the relatives of the victims of ARA San Juan. We already know why they want to keep them in that place,” said Mariano Recalde.

The senator, a member of the Council of the Judiciary, recalled the decision of the highest court that in December of last year “forced to change the composition” of that body.
“Once again, the double standard: the Council had to change its composition in 120 days at the risk of becoming paralyzed, but the (Federal) Chamber continues to function with two judges who should not be there and a deadline was not even established to resolve it”pointed the legislator against the Supreme Court, as reported in a statement.
“Today there are many unfilled vacancies and unresolved irregular situations,” Recalde added, naming the case of judges Leopoldo Bruglia and Pablo Bertuzzi, who, he said, “were illegally transferred” to the Federal Chamber of Buenos Aires and “continue to occupy those positions. “, he claimed.
“The Court itself said that they are not the natural judges of those courts,” he insisted.
Likewise, he regretted the Court’s ruling on the formation of the Council of the Judiciary that “forced” to change the organization’s structure “after 16 years” and recalled that it was also “established that (Horacio) Rosatti”, the president of the maximum court, was at the head, at the same time, of that key instance in the process of appointment and removal of judges.
The senator stressed that “despite our disagreement with the ruling,” Congress worked “to meet the requirements” requested by the Court.

In this way, he analyzed that “the new formation of the Council” was completed to “prevent it from being paralyzed.”
“We spent months resolving this situation instead of taking care of what we should have: looking for the best magistrates to fill the vacancies and evaluating the performance of the judges who are in the Judiciary today”he pointed.
Likewise, the legislator considered that “this was urgent”, and that even today, “it continues to be so”.
According to the senator, “the arbitrariness that reigns in the Judiciary of Argentina” is what ends up generating “distrust” and “skepticism in society.”
“It is time for us to deal with what is important and work to have a truly serious and efficient Justice,” he exhorted.
