High students hospitalized in Matanzas for inhaling an unidentified gas

All students hospitalized this Friday in Matanzas for inhaling an “unidentified” substance, they were already discharged.

Dr. Anaelis Santana Álvarez, Deputy Director of Medical Assistance of the Hospital, explained to the Cuban News Agency (ACN) That the patients received suffered fucking stinging, breathing difficulties, dizziness and drowsiness, and were treated according to the clinical picture they presented.

Four girls with arterial hypertension, vagal events and bronchial asthma were hospitalized in intermediate therapy, while 12 cases were entered in the respiratory room and the rest remained under observation, said the specialist.

According to the report, “during the permanence in the center the students did not present other symptoms other than the initials, and the complementary exams and X -rays carried out by the specialists did not show the presence of any substance in the blood or pulmonary route.”

Of the 35 hospitalized, 27 were discharged in the afternoon of his own Friday and the remaining eight this Saturday, according to The local newspaper Girón.

The incident occurred near the tenth grade classrooms, located on the second floor of the center, but as a precaution it was decided to make the evacuation of all the students, the authorities then explained.

The majority of the students admitted to the hospital from the school, while the rest was then taken to the hospital by their parents for presenting symptoms associated with what happened.
