Hidalgo proposes two new mobility projects for AIFA

Hidalgo proposes two new mobility projects for AIFA

Once the connectivity works between Mexico City and the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA), Hidalgo will seek to carry out two more mobility projects towards this new airport point, assured the governor, Omar Fayad Meneses.

During the delivery ceremony, reception and start of operations of the AIFA, the state president explained that these projects, which will be presented to the Federation, focus on creating a highway that goes directly from the city of Pachuca to the new airport, as well as a passenger train.

Precisely, he deepened, it is sought to be able to materialize these two plans once the current mobility and expansion works carried out by the State of Mexico and the country’s capital (such as the Main Access Distributor to the AIFA, the Siervo de la Nación Urban Highway , the Macrolibramiento Mexiquense, the mass transportation system of Line I of the Mexibus and the Toluca-Naucalpan highway).

“For Hidalgo there is also a benefit, because the highway from Mexico City to Pachuca is being expanded to four additional lanes and this will allow a little later, when the connection works from Mexico City to this area have been completed. , the road of Mexico-Pachuca continue to expand from the city of Pachuca to this international airport”, he said.

“And the same thing, the proposal that has been made, of being able to also count on the possibility, if future resources allow it, with a train from the city of Pachuca to this AIFA”, added the governor of Hidalgo.

omar fayad He highlighted that of the three entities involved in the development of the project (the capital of the country, the State of Mexico and Hidalgo), the state of Hidalgo generates the greatest opportunities, because it is closer to the new airport.

“For us, it is of the greatest importance that Pachuca can have an airport with national and international arrivals and departures just a few minutes away by car, it makes us a more competitive entity and integrates new markets, both tourist and commercial, let’s not forget that this airport is for passengers and cargo,” he said.

At the same time, he deepened that the construction of the AIFA responds to a request given for 26 years for Hidalgo to have an airport.

“It represents one more option to relieve air traffic in the country’s capital. This public work expands the airport areas of our country (…) It is a project that, without a doubt, its consolidation will transform the lives of Hidalgo and the people of Hidalgo”, specified the leader of the local Executive.

He considered that precisely not only tourist and commercial activities will be detonated, but also industrial turns, since the sites that have manufacturing vocations in Hidalgo are very close to the new AIFA.

For example, Tula and Tizayuca stand out, which are industrial corridors, as well as Villa de Tezontepec, which has industrial parks; one more competitive advantage is added to their portfolio, they become more attractive to entrepreneurs and investors.
