The Minister of Health, Hernando Cevallos, regretted that Avelino Guillen has been resigned from the titular position of the portfolio of the Interior, since it is a professional of “enormous prestige”.
In a dialogue with the press from the premises of his sector, Cevallos considered it positive that President Pedro Castillo has removed Javier Gallardo from office and sent him to retirement, who served as general commander of the National Police until Monday.
Along these lines, he also requested that the Public Ministry continue the investigations into the alleged irregularities in the promotion process in the aforementioned institution and that was one of the reasons why Guillén maintained discrepancies with Gallardo.
