Hernán De León assures that his letter spread on social networks was not addressed to the presiding magistrate of the CSJ

He indicated that Panama is a very small society, and that in other countries there will surely be weddings of high-ranking officials of the State – as in this case that of a deputy – in which it is very common that other authorities are invited.

“There are some activities that should not be attended due to ethics; however, some are no longer ashamed”, this was the message of former magistrate Hernán De León that he posted on May 30 on his personal Twitter account, just one day after the Kayra Harding’s wedding, where the presiding magistrate of the Supreme Court of Justice, María Eugenia López, was caught on video dancing.

According to De León, that letter was not addressed to López and one news account, in particular, linked him to the magistrate.

“I opened a Twitter account where I make reflections and thoughts. So, I made a reflection that a particular account took as if it were for the president of the Court. I am very respectful of colleagues and people in general. I am not one to enter you to you or situations of this nature, so it was just a thought,” said the lawyer.
