In 2024, Herbalife commemorates an important milestone: 20 years of presence in Bolivia, promoting well-being and a healthier and more active lifestyle, through a broad portfolio of 49 nutritional supplements grouped according to need in daily nutrition, personalized nutrition, personal care, performance, active living and weight management, which are backed by science and technology. Furthermore, throughout these two decades, the company has impacted the lives of Independent Distributors who have managed to successfully achieve their entrepreneurial goals.

A commitment to athletes, education and the environment

One of the key projects is ‘Team Herbalife’, which currently sponsors seven outstanding athletes in national and international competitions; Chavo Salvatierra, Walter Nosiglia Navarro, Daniel and Waltico Nosiglia Jager, Jhoselyn Camargo, Flavia Castro and Abigail Saravia. In addition, the nutrition advisor and consultant, Fabiana Cremer, provides personalized guidance to each of the talents, focusing on their diet with the consumption of nutrients and necessary calories, supervising and advising on the most appropriate supplements for each athlete. During these 20 years, Herbalife’s sponsorship of both competing athletes and high-level sporting events boosted athlete performance and fostered greater interest in a healthy and active lifestyle in the country.

Through the Herbalife Family Foundation (HFF)the program Herbalife House has improved the lives of hundreds of vulnerable children by supporting homes in Bolivia to provide nutritional education and healthy eating. This program is carried out at the Arcoíris Foundation in La Paz and the Hogar San José in Santa Cruz.

On the other hand, through sustainability programs, the efficient use and local recycling of plastic waste is promoted among employees and Independent Distributors, which are collected in sales and delivery centers. Thanks to this, between 2019 and 2024, more than 15 tons of plastic have been recycled from used containers of Herbalife products in Bolivia.

In 2023, Herbalife launched the first training program, Herbalife Scholarshipwhich evaluates and awards scholarships to three nutrition professionals to pursue a diploma in sports nutrition. This program seeks to train specialists who can advise on the physical and psychological well-being of athletes.

Herbalife, during the two decades of business life, has achieved different milestones that explain its success in Bolivia. In 2021 he inaugurated a modern sales center in Santa Cruz of 1,200 square meters, with a large warehouse for products, an order service center and offices for corporate staff. In total, the company has six sales and delivery centers in the country and has coverage of distribution of products in the nine departments.

It should be noted that in 2022, a distribution warehouse was opened in Trinidad, Beni, for shipments to the north of the country, reducing delivery times in that region. Additionally, in that same year, delivery points were enabled in intermediate cities such as Ivirgarzama, San Ignacio and Montero, to reach more communities in Bolivia.

Herbalife has also strengthened the relationship with its Independent Distributors by expanding its service channels, with digital services through the website or purchasing application, call centers, as well as the implementation of new payment points in banks, pharmacies and other establishments. An important achievement is that, thanks to the various improvements applied, 90% of orders are delivered within 24 hours and mostly at home.

Herbalife remains in constant innovation, which has allowed it to implement the Preferred Customer Program since 2022. This program offers the possibility of purchasing products not only by registering as an Independent Distributor, but also as a customer, for those people who exclusively purchase the products for their personal consumption.

The company has also received a wide variety of recognitions and distinctions in the country. Among the most important are: Paul Harris Business Excellence (2019); Best Multilevel Company in the Bolivian Business Brand Ranking (2021); number 1 company in its sector, in the Merco Ranking (2021 and 2022) is recognized as the number 1 company in its sector, among others.
