In each stage that Venezuela has experienced, history always emerges because there is a people who are “solidarity, Bolivarian, loving, hardworking and who grow in difficulties,” as stated by the sectoral vice president for Social and Territorial Socialism, Héctor Rodríguez, during the III Conference on Insurgent History and Decolonization of Memory.
From the Simón Bolívar Study Center (CESB) in Caracas, he extolled that what the people want “is for things to be seen as they were; “The truth alone is only insurgent, without covering up absolutely anything of what really happened, and that is the difference of ethical morality.”
He explained that the Venezuelan opposition, together with imperialism, has repeated a lie so many times and has tried so hard to transform history and “try to change the truth,” and he thinks that with this lie the Venezuelan people can “cower or divide.”
“They believed that with their blockade and the mockery of the last line (…) they were going to dismantle what we are as a nation, as a people”, men and women who have fought against everything despite the attacks, threats and other current situations in the world, in a battle for the truth, against the false narratives and malicious algorithms that try to distort it.
