Héctor López Martínez: ''Boluarte's absence is unspeakable''

What is your opinion that President Boluarte did not attend the bicentennial ceremony of the Battle of Ayacucho?

Not attending one of the most important anniversaries in the region is an absolutely unspeakable attitude on the part of the president. Dina Boluarte. If her presence as president in the Palace is legal, then she should legitimize that position. Legitimacy is earned by properly fulfilling one’s role. The lady represents the Nation, but she simply does what she wants and does not fulfill her duties. It has lost legitimacy a long time ago. This is not a play on words, being president means a lot of sacrifice, you have to act wisely and Boluarte only wants to see the positive part, the pleasant part of the position.

Dina Boluarte cited weather problems for not being at the ceremony for the 200 years of the Battle of Ayacucho and carried out a parallel activity in the courtyard of the Government Palace where she offered a speech that was more political than historical.

What did you think of the speech that the president offered from the Palace for this historic occasion?

That speech, like all of this lady’s, seems to me to be always out of place, which is already a serious problem. Each of his speeches are appropriate to the situation, to the moment, to the situation, because he needs them or for his self-defense. The president has made a series of historical confusions, which is absolutely unforgivable. How does the country find this bicentennial of the Battle of Ayacucho?

Anniversaries have great significance, they are goals that allow us to reflect. When one reaches a certain age, the normal, sensible thing to do is to reflect. Peru has reached 200 years of republican life, unfortunately in the worst political situation in our history. There has never been a presidency of the Republic so inadequate.
