A strong storm reached the metropolitan regions of Campinas, Sao Paulo and Santos between late afternoon and middle of Tuesday night (18). There were accumulated of more than 50mm in some cities. 
The municipal civil defenses still raise the damage. According to the Enel concessionaire Enel, at least 800,000 people are without light in the region, especially Osasco, where 10% of the units served had interruption of supply.
In the capital and surroundings, there was a hail fall in the late afternoon and a sequence of automatic state civil defense was issued, first for the East and Central regions and, after 20h, to the entire city and to the northern municipalities and west of the metropolis.
Until 21h the agency learned 117mm of rain in São Vicente, 100mm in Santos and 59mm in Praia Grande. The municipal civil defense teams are on the field monitoring the risk areas and there has been no report of occurrences so far.
Cities in the interior of São Paulo also had a large volume of rainfall, with 61mm record in Águas de Lindóia and 54mm in Amparo. In São Carlos, there was a record of falling 12 trees, without victims. In Taubaté, a multi -sport gym had broken tiles that fell into the building without injured.
The state capital decreed in two moments of attention, first to the east and central regions and then to the entire city. The city recorded 16 flooding points, five of which remain active, and rains are considered by the City Hall’s emergency management center as potential for flooding and overflowing.
