The Uruguayan Institute of Meteorology (Inumet) predicted a heat wave for the coast of the countrythat It will go from Monday 5 to Thursday 8 December.
In this sense, as of Tuesday the 6th, the body anticipates that “there may be more affected areas of the country“, so it recommends that the population stay informed.
“A warm air mass will affect the region from Monday the 5th, provoking extreme temperatures above the climatological average for the time of year, mainly in the western coastal areas and part of the center of the country. Minimum temperatures are expected to exceed 19 ºC and maximum temperatures 34 ºC,” Inumet reported in a statement released this Friday the 2nd.
Likewise, In areas where storms and rains develop “temperatures may drop slightly temporarily”; however, according to the institute’s forecasts, only on Wednesday and Thursday there is a “low” probability of precipitation.

Cologne: Graceful, Campana, Carmelo, Cerro Carmelo, Florencio Sánchez, Miguelete, Nueva Palmira and Ombúes de Lavalle.
Peach: Baygorria and Feliciano.
Flowers: Andresito, Ismael Cortinas, La Casilla and Trinidad.
paysandu: Beisso, Casa Blanca, Cerro Chato, Farms of Paysandú, Chapicuy, Colonia Nuevo Paysandú, Constancia, Esperanza, Gallinal, Guayabos, Guichón, Lorenzo Geyres, Merinos, Orgoroso, Paysandú, Piedras Coloradas, Porvenir, Quebracho, San Félix and Termas de Guaviyu.
