For the second time, the hearing on the request for measure of coercion against the Haitian citizen Dieupanou Julé (Jhonny)56 years old, accused of participating in the death of two men who had been reported missing after moving from the municipality of Nagua to the province of Santiago to carry out collection work.
The decision was adopted this Saturday by the judge Wendy Tavárezof the Permanent Attention Court of the Judicial District of Santiagowho postponed the process so that an interpreter is present, because the accused is a foreigner, and so that the indirect victims of the case.
The Public Ministry points to Dieupanou Julé as one of those allegedly involved in the death of Reimy Tomás Rodríguez Rojas and Rodolfo Martínez Parellówho worked as collectors for a loan company.
They were tortured and buried
The bodies of both victims were found buried last Friday, January 2, at night, in the back of a house located in the municipality Licey al Medio, Santiago province.
According to the preliminary file, the victims moved from Nagua on December 31 to make charges on a route that included several sectors of the province of Santiago.
Later, the authorities located the vehicle in which they were traveling, abandoned in the North Circunvalación Avenuewith blood stains and ballistic evidence inside.
The investigations establish that the bodies had gunshot wounds and severe trauma, in accordance with the medical-legal certification issued by the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (Inacif), entity to which they were sent for the corresponding studies.
Search continues for others involved
The Public Ministry maintains the accusation against Dieupanou Julé (Jhonny)while the arrest warrants against other defendants identified as Yelson Trinidad Garcíaalias “Villain”; Yaudy Sarita Morelalias “the Pencil”; and Jimmy Jules Mecidowho remain fugitives.
The authorities reported that the judicial process will continue on the date set by the court, while the Public Ministry and the National Police maintain open investigations to establish responsibilities and execute the pending arrest warrants in relation to the double homicide occurred in Santiago.
