The conciliation hearing between the journalist Menchi Barriocanal and Juan Vera, head of the Association of Users and Consumers of Paraguay (Asucop) is suspended. It happened for Wednesday December 28th. The suspension of the proceeding is due to the fact that Juan Vera appeared without a lawyer.
Criminal Judge Messalina Fernández conducts the hearing within the framework of the complaint for injury to privacy filed by the communicator against Vera.
The context is as follows; At the end of November, the head of Asucop launched a hate campaign against Menchi Barriocanal from her Facebook page where she exposed the personal data of the communicator, such as her telephone contact, asking her followers to harass and threaten her for being against the repeal of the agreement with the European Union (EU).
