The health workers grouped in the ATE City Hospitals group carried out a 24-hour strike this Friday to demand “a wage increase in line with inflation rates”in rejection of the layoffs in the sector and demanding recognition of the professional career of nurses, therapists and technicians.

“We are going through a new day of struggle with a stoppage of activities, because With the salaries we have we cannot live. That is why we are demanding the opening of parity now,” Héctor Ortiz, coordinator of the Hospitals group of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, told Télam this Friday.

In this framework, the ATE leader highlighted the “high adherence to the general strike” that is registered among Buenos Aires health workers and announced a new “strike and mobilization” at the headquarters of the local Ministry of Finance, announced for next Wednesday. .

“Today we are on strike and next week we are going to deepen our plan of struggle with another strike and mobilization for our demands that are not listened to by officials of the Government of Horacio Rodríguez Larreta,” Ortiz said.
