In consideration of the recent massive dismissals of the personnel that work in the emergency room of the Manuel Ferrer Valdés Polyclinic, known as the 25th Street Polyclinic, with spurious processes, without suitable evidence, added to the recent massive dismissals of personnel who justifiably protested in the Metropolitan Hospital Complex, with irregular processes and violating the legitimate right to protest and union freedom.
Given the chronic shortage of supplies and medicines, it has caused massive cancellations of scheduled surgeries, which added to the managerial disorder that has been evidenced in the transfer of services to Ciudad Salud and the environment of harassment and workplace harassment of workers health, especially to those who dare to communicate to the pertinent instances due to the lack of inputs, highlighting the truth of the disaster that we are experiencing in the Social Security Fund.
We have decided
- Demand that the authorities of the Social Security Fund stop the systematic harassment and persecution against the workers of the institution, both professionals, technicians, and health and administrative assistants, that they prioritize solving the multiple problems we have and stop attacking the workers. complainants.
- Request the Board of Directors of the Social Security Fund its urgent intervention and urgent review of the situations that we denounce and of all the irregular actions that are taking place in various executing units, since it is attacking the peace and labor security of the workers , product of the managerial mistakes of middle and high command bosses, who give a clear example of how exorbitant they are with respect to their functions, politicized or not suitable to exercise leadership, which are leading us to the collapse and crisis in the institution.
- To denounce before the citizens, all the unions of workers in the country, educators and especially the retirees and insured, that this environment of persecution and lack of solutions in all aspects of the Social Security Fund, gives us a clear indication that seeks to suppress all resistance, before the imminent imposition of reforms to Law 51 of the Social Security Fund, with a savage vision of deteriorating or privatizing the health and pensions of all Panamanians. We declare ourselves on maximum alert and invite the entire population to be attentive to the actions that, as a people, we have to carry out in defense of our institution and workers.
