Health reports 7,649 cases of covid;  Cochabamba registers more than 2 thousand infections

The Ministry of Health reported this Tuesday 7,649 new infections of Covid-19 nationwide; while the department of Cochabamba registered the highest figure: 2,092 positives.

In addition, 49 deaths from the virus were recorded in the last 24 hours.

According to the national report, Santa Cruz added 1,672 infections; La Paz, 1,555; Tarija, 631; Chuquisaca, 601; Oruro, 354; Potosi, 295; Beni, 287; Panda, 162.

With the 7,649 positives confirmed this Tuesday, the country has accumulated 828,232 cases since the start of the pandemic.

This Tuesday, 5,606 people recovered from the virus, for a total of 659,961. While the active cases amount to 147,551.

With the 49 deaths registered in the last 24 hours, the country brings the number of deaths registered since March 2020 to 20,720. In this fourth wave, the fatality rate is 0.6%, according to data from the Ministry of Health.
