Health authorities have reported that the pandemic in Mexico is on the decline, since infections and deaths have decreased for seven weeks. However, they have asked citizens to maintain prevention measures such as a healthy distance, the use of antibacterial gel, and the use of face masks.
The states with the most infections are Mexico City, the State of Mexico, Nuevo León, Guanajuato, Jalisco, Tabasco, San Luis Potosí, Veracruz, Puebla and Sonora. Together, they make up 64% of all accumulated cases in the country.
Until March 17, 462 million 758,117 have been infected in the world (2 million 096,519 new cases) and 6 million 056,725 have died (6,243 new deaths). The global lethality is 1.3%.
