How is the discussion going?
With 19 of 21 representatives, the quorum is achieved to start the session.
At 2:27 pm, the explanation of Cambio Radical and Centro Democrático, opposition parties, which ask that the government project be archived, begins.
In the words of representative Juan Felipe Corzo, of the Democratic Center, they ask that Corcho’s initiative be archived because “they are against bureaucratization,” because “the financial viability of the Ministry of Finance and the fiscal impact that the reform would bring is a biggest concern.”
Another of the points for which they ask to archive the project of Law 339 is because “a mixed health system is needed” and because this proposed initiative “is unaware of the advances in terms of coverage and efficiency.” As well as the loads that the Adres would assume and that it does not have the capacities to comply with the new functions.
At 2:57 pm: Representative Betsy Judith Pérez, of Cambio Radical, explains other reasons for shelving the government project.
