An unfortunate traffic accident left a deceased person in the commune of Puchuncaví, Valparaíso region. During the afternoon of this Wednesday, a private car was hit by a Carabineros patrol, resulting in a deceased woman and two injured police officers.
The troops were carrying out a procedure, traveling at high speed on the old road to Horcón. It was there that the police car hit the part of the driver, who just carried out a maneuver in which she got in the way of the overtaking police patrol, being hit with great force, according to the audiovisual record.
Marianela Baez was the fatal victim, a worker at Cesfam de Ventanas. Despite the resuscitation work carried out by firefighters, the woman finally died at the scene.
The Municipality of Puchuncaví, issued a statement indicating that “we regret the sensitive death of Marianela Báez Cisternas, an official, colleague and very dear friend of our Cesfam Ventanas, who had dedicated her life to public health, working as a professional for 18 years in our commune and 14 more in the Gustavo Fricke Hospital”.
Adding that “as a municipality and Department of Health we want in this difficult time to send our deepest condolences to your family and friends.”
